Useful links
Here are some Links to Blogs and Websites that I found extremely useful
Has to be the NO1 spot
Buildhub
I dont think anybody could or should start ANY building project without reading through this Forum.
The Knowledge combined through years of experience on there is just unbelievable.
Thats what you call Collective intelligence.
Many People on Buildhub with a lot of knowledge, but reading
Jeremy's Blog
will probably answer around 80% of your question (which only leaves 80% of the questions to research on other websites)
I Started some experimenting with Time lapse and Videos. Results so far a not amazing but i hope it will get better with practise
You can watch them on

Next :
BUILDING SIENCE CORPORATION
This is an extremely helpfull American website by and with Joseph Lstiburek . You can check out some of his Youtube lectures as well. It s entertaining and very informative.
The website itself can be a bit overwhelming in its details to start with , but very handy if you want specific information about certain issues
(e.g. Keeping Cellars Watertight )
A lot of focus on American Style Timber Frame Buildings. Gives you a better Understanding around the physics involved in building as well .
https://gridreferencefinder.com/ Does what it says. Very good for mapping out your plot
BLOG ABOUT DERELICT PROPERTIES This is a (loose) collection of derelict properties and possible renovation projects around the UK.
If you want to hire any professional (3D rendering, Calculations, Webdesign, SE, Architects)
have a look on
UPWORK
I had a few good experiences to get my designs in 3D for 50$ and some Structural Calculations done there. For about 1/4- 1/10 of the regular price in the UK.
Website for and about Landlords
Homepage for Landlords. On the Forum there is some usefull Information, but the whole website is not that amazing all together.
There are many other Homepages that deal with Self Build (just try to Google "self build uk" and you sure to see him similing from the first page:)
Most of them are not very good and have limited "in-depths" information on them. Also they are so easy to find I do not think I have to link them on here.
Last but not least , my own website for
Quality Timber Windows, Doors and Metal Roofing Systems
