Setting out

So after the main demolition is done, I started to look into how best to put the plans on the ground and decided once again to do it myself. Bought a level :

and build myself a stand for the staff (as I was lacking a second person to hold it :

this worked out fine, but took ages. Next time round would probably invest the extra 100£ for a second hand automatic laser level that is meant to be used on one's own.

On top of this, the half decent laser levels can do distance measuring at the same time, while I had to use classic surveyors tape to do this.My idea to use a laser measure did not work that well because it turned out to be impossible to point from point A to point B over 20odd meters without a tripod and target plate ,  and using these is impractical when you want to measure distance between 2 pegs. 

So Surveyor Tape it is

Again. Slow. 

After a few days of checking measurements, cross checking with the diagonals, finding out its out of square, trying to figure out how to set it out on the plot without ending up having a wall in the stream(did I mention that we are quite restricted in space), I finally have it ready now and marked all the positions for the piles. Fingers crossed they are alright. There is a +-40mm tolerance with the RC Beam as the wall is only 360mm wide, the RC Beam being  400mm.
